GRAU DATA and COMBACK extend partnership for XtreemStore

Schwäbisch Gmünd June 24, 2021 – The long-term partners GRAU DATA and COMBACK are expanding their partnership with a further product class and an expanded clientele. From now on COMBACK is the exclusive sales partner for the new XtreemStore from GRAU DATA.

The XtreemStore has been completely redeveloped and is suitable for companies that have to store and manage extremely large amounts of data of several petabytes. The hardware-independent, scalable and object-based software solution is equipped with an S3 interface as standard and designed for data archiving via disk on tape media. The GRAU DATA XtreemStore object store eliminates the limitations of hierarchical storage in traditional file systems and block storage. Areas of application are, for example, universities, research institutions, libraries or organizations in the healthcare environment, as well as enterprise companies.

A special feature is the additional DICOM / HL7 interface, which is only available through cooperation with COMBACK. In combination with the S3 interface, this open interface is particularly important for the healthcare market, as it enables large amounts of data to be archived independently of PACS manufacturers and at the same time represents a more cost-effective alternative.
